Have your drivers marked Sept. 2017 on their calendar for Brake Safety Week? On those dates, law enforcement agencies across North America will conduct inspections to identify out-of-adjustment brakes, brake-system, and anti-lock braking system (ABS) violations as part of the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s (CVSA) Brake Safety Week. New Out-of-Service Criteria Changes in Effect

On April 1st, ten changes to the North American Standard Out‐of‐Service Criteria (OOSC) went into effect.

Action: Amend Part I, Item 3. COMMERCIAL DRIVER’S LICENSE (CDL), b. Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP), by adding a new condition for a CLP holder operating a commercial motor vehicle transporting passengers.

15 Safety Professionals Graduated

Vertical Alliance Group, would like to recognize the representatives from six companies across the transportation industry who attended our Infinit-I Engage Evaluation Program May 11th and 12th at the historic Stockyards Hotel in Fort Worth, Texas. CVSA’s 29th annual International Roadcheck will take place June 7-9, 2016.

Over the course of this 72 hour period, nearly 17 trucks or buses will be inspected every minute across North America.
